No, not really, like I said it's just a damn phone. It suits my tastes and needs at the moment. I just don't see the point of writing an article about games being released on said platforms and then find a way to bash it.
Then again, I guess I don't really see the point in me commenting about said article to begin with or replying to my comment within the post. Maybe we're both just bored. Either way, I guess we both just lost at the internet.
I was surprised to see a story about a WP7 game on Joystiq, but then I read the article. I have an HD7 and I love it. I had an iPhone and an Android phone. I loved the stability and reliability of apps on the iOS but hated the UI. On Android I loved the UI but due to the fragmentation of the Android OS, some apps worked fine while others didn't. On WP7 I get the benefits of both.
Honestly, I would have choose whatever platform suited me the best. I'm a consumer, it's my right. Brand loyality is dumb to me, it's just a damn phone.
"Hey dying and starving kids of Africa, stop worrying about what you're going to eat! iPhones are SOOO much better than Windows!"
First world problems. Eh, whatever, I'm sure you got a chuckle out of some loyal Apple or Android user Jessica.
At $10 a share and 100 million shares put up, Zynga values itself more than Electronic Arts? Or about half of Nintendo's value?
I don't think so. Unless they plan on making a few acquisitions I don't see why a single company in a single segment of the videogame market would value itself so high unless they're planning on burning through some cash quickly.
I do, and there are really no words to share with someone who is grieving as well, except: I feel for you too.
@ everyone
Thank you. it's a shame that the mainstream media does not consider some (keyword: some) games to be works of art.
My wife never saved the galaxy from aliens, but she did. She was never part of a spec-ops team in the military, but she was. She never kicked the winning field goal at the Superbowl, but she did. She never ruled an empire and set out for conquest, but she has. She never saved the damsel in distress, but she did. She never slayed a dragon, but she did. She was a gamer, and she did all those things.
My wife of ten years passed away in September, we have a 6 year old son together. I've been playing Skyrim for the past 2 weeks now, I bought the game when it released but had been hesitant to play it because she was a gamer too. We even reserved 2 copies of the game so we wouldn't interrupt each others play time.
If there is a heaven, we both always imagined (hoped?) it would be a place where you could shape the world around you to be what you wanted it to be. We both agreed that our heaven would be a world like the one in the Elder Scrolls games. We would adventure together, she being a mage and me a tank.
Anyway, I know no one from Bethesda will read this, but I wanted to thank all of the people who worked on this game. I thought it would be too painful to play, but in a way, it has brought me closer to her.
Windows Phone leaks new games, sounds like a personal problem

From a grieving husband: thank you.
