I guess he's finally understood that Dead or Alive: Beach Volleyball might look pretty but essentially it plays like shit and won't sell to anyone over the age of 14.

2010 halftime report on bestselling US console games

@sigma8

You've also got to take into account the technical differences within the game. The PS3 was inferiour to the xbox so people owning both consoles were far more likely to purchase the xbox one and not the PS3 one.

I love your post, I genuinely do.

To generalize the entirety of Europe, which consist of 47 member countries, is rather impressive. It also comes over as rather hypocritical coming from a a resident of America, which is documented for its obesity problems.

The rest of the post is equally sumptuous first, highlighting issues with the welfare system and creating a class divide, then going on to state that hispanics have bad lifestyle choices introduced from their homeland (again, this might come over as somewhat hypocritical).

Ignorance is bliss eh?

That is pretty much how all scored based, team games pan out isn't it?
Take basketball for example. The silly high scores indicate that that it is just as you've described it.

However, I do agree, this game looks pants. Games like football (or soccer if you must), basketball etc have an element of flair to them. This game does not appear to.

It might be worth mentioning somewhere in the posts about this app that it is US only and there is zero information regarding a worldwide release (or that's what Aceybongos is saying).

You have to assume this is a regional beta with perhaps a view to release in a fall update. This would make sense in terms of it being an app rather than part of the dash itself. Who in their right mind would want to browse the marketplace in order to find an app that allows you to browse part of the marketplace more effeciently. It almost seems a test :)

THQ executive impressed by 3DS piracy protection

@mocax

I believe you're partly right but perhaps its partly coincidental.

In days of old, it used to be true and in part the current gen machines are still evidence of this. The problem now is that everything except the PS3 has been hacked so its no longer a fair assesment.

The PS1 sold like hotcakes as it was easily hackable, same applies to the PS2. X360 is easy to hack and partly why it has a higher user base (imo).

The PS3 hasn't been hacked and sales are lower than X360. Now is this because it's unhacked atm or is it that its an inferiour gaming platform (we're not talking about its media playing abilities, just gaming).

I't hard to tell.

The 3DS will be hacked within a week. Nintendo don't combat piracey, they're rubbish at it

Xbox 360 'Valhalla' model torn down, new hardware exposed

Yeah, actually I do work 7 days a week if its anything public facing (which is half the year) (but not through choice :) )

But yeah, fair enough. There is always a constant stream of stuff coming from joystiq so I guess I was a little harsh :)
