Prey 2 cinematic teases parkour-fueled, bounty-grabbing mayhem

@clerkenwell

Well, the music track immediately reminds me of Johnny Cash. Cause it's the man in black.

Regardless, great song accompanies great trailer. Scifigasm

Best Buy selling Infamous for the shockingly low price of $10

May 12th 2011 7:39PM (Joystiq)
There was a rumor that Sony might end up offering the first Infamous as a free download to make up for the downage. This would also prep people for Infamous 2, so I don't think it is a terrible idea.

I wonder if Best Buy heard the same rumor and is offing their supply.

Square Enix lowers six-month financial forecast, cuts expected sales by $100M

That's a great price for some CVS branded Styling Gel! Not only that, but eligible for free shipping!

This is the kind of hard hitting journalism I come to joystiq for. Now if only I could find a good price on some post-Halloween bulk candy...

Swag Sunday: You Rock Guitar

Oct 3rd 2010 12:14PM (Joystiq)
When I learn to play guitar I will use the power of music to sooth the cries of the infant my wife and I hope will pop out of her in the next year.

Alternatively, since we have not conceived yet, if we aren't pregnant in the next year, I'll use the power of music to give my little swimmers the epic theme music to overcome it's biological foes and seal the deal.

JoyStats: Reaching Rank 50 in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 takes about 282 hours

I just hit rank 25 and I've got about 30 hours in. That puts me ahead of this curve but I don't think I'm all that good.

PS3 Fanboy review: Lair

Sep 5th 2007 2:50PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I have to completely agree with the reviewer here, but I can understand it. I was really excited to buy this game on release and picked it up the moment it was out, but when I got it home the first level didn't play well at all. The second level felt far too short, and was equally unimpressive. Through both of these the controls felt non-existant, but on my third outing I decided to really take my time and make smooth, calculated moves, turning with my speed in mind, keeping track of my targets, and really coming to grips with how much more skill I had to use to fly and attack efficiently.

Since I've become more comfortable with the controls, I love lair, and can't stop playing it. The visuals are wonderful, the controls are excellent (if a bit complicated), and the score that was composed for it is stellar. There are some minor framerate issues and a number of clipping problems, but they hardly detract from the game.

This was an unfair review in that the reviewer didn't give the game the time and effort it deserved. For those that don't enjoy it, it is evident button mashing is more for you, because the game that factor 5 has presented here, to me, is what gaming should be.

Jack Tretton teases E3 surprises, promises "more than 100 titles" by year end

Jun 14th 2007 5:07PM (Joystiq Playstation)
There are a number of great games coming the way of PS3, and coming soon? eh... a bit scarce isn't it? I'm really looking forward to Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Lair... *shrug* there are a couple others I have interest it (Darkness), but nothing that's a sure buy except for.... WARHAWK. If you are a part of the beta, you would know why. This game is the best online game I've ever played, and co-op is great. Do yourself a favor - find someone who has the game, and pickup controller #2, you will be a happy, happy camper.

Win yourself some Shure headphones!

May 26th 2007 12:32PM (Engadget)
Easy. I'm going to spend a couple hours getting Creative Labs horrible firmware to load on my temporarily bricked Zen xtra, with the 80 gig hdd i just put in it. Then, I'm going to load it with three computers worth of music (sharing is caring) ranging from Artic Monkeys and Incubus (Fungus Amongus) to Paul Oakenfold and Theivery Corporation. Finally, I'll screw those headphones into my ears and listen to music during a 6 day motorycle ride along the Pacific Coast Highway (July), on a boring flight, Maui beach and flight back (August), and finally, to drown out my professors when class starts back up.
