10. Chrono Trigger is the best RPG ever made. It has the best story, best replay value, best music, best action, best fluid transitions, and the first ever successful incorporation of Time Travel in a game or movie.
Mr. Anonymous, it was merely William's own opinion, stating that those elements made it the best RPG ever made. I'll back him up.
Best RPG? -- many agree with this, and while I don't personally, I can see how he does.
Best Story -- it covered all the characters back stories extremely well, no doubt helped by the game's time travel. It also contained multiple endings, and thus also contained a dynamic storyline
Best Replay Value -- due to the multiple endings, and the multiple points during the game that you actually allow you to complete it, in comparison to many other RPGs, Chrono Trigger leaves them for dead
Best Action -- for an SNES game, the game was extremely action packed, no doubt helped by the most beautiful graphics in an SNES RPG. Also, the fluid battle system, along with the extremely flashy attacks, definitely make thing action-packed.
Best Fluid Transitions -- if he's referring to the battle system, then yes, it is real time, you can see the enemies, and it has no loading, and therefore, yes it has utterly brilliant fluidity
I disagree on one thing -- the fluid time travel. It was not the first successful implementation of such a concept in both films and games -- this is not a film, and there are many films that precede this game that were successful (Back to the Future is a more recent film, but it does back even further than that). In terms of the first successful implementation of time travel in games. Yes, I do agree.
What a mouthful. Defending some guy who's probably 12. I think I did it because Anonymous was sounding like an elitist jerkoff...
Happy Tetris music day
