If you like turn-based strategy games, and specifically Heroes of Might and Magic, I implore you to check out Kings Bounty: Armored Princess. It's been on Steam for a while, but its at retail this week.

It's a brilliant game... it's exactly what HOMM should have evolved into, but didn't.

Bejeweled meets M&M? If you look closely at the screen shots, you'll notice that there are never three of the same characters in a row. I'm guessing that it's a Puzzle Quest knockoff.

Sony can't lower their prices. The COGS are too expensive, specifically the Blu-Ray player and Cell processor.

In this generation, Sony will never compete on price. They need to convince people in the superiority of their product, primarily by providing an experience that is unique to its platform.

But so far, the platform's only distinguishing characteristic is the ability to play Blu-Ray movies, something the general public seems unmoved by.

Someone needs to call out Indigo Prophecy as one of the most overlooked Xbox 1 games.

It's a very non-traditional adventure game. It's got a super trippy story, with lots of button-mashing action sequences. You play as three characters: the killer and the two detectives who are searching for the killer. So, one moment you're trying to evade the police, and in the next scene you are the police, trying to catch the killer. Cool, eh? It's super ambitious, and very creative.

Most people reading this already own Halo, so I encourage you to make IP your first download purchase.

It's about time that someone leveraged Eno's work for the video game industry. He's a brilliant mind, and his accomplishments are staggering. For example:

1) His early '70s tape-looping experiments launched an entire category of music, New Age.
2) Long-time producer for a little band called U2.
3) Authored the single most-heard piece of music in the history of mankind, the Windows startup song.

Anyone interested in a great read regarding music theory should check out his diary, "Year (With Swollen Appendices)". His wikipedia entry does an excellent job of outlining his career.

It’s been said many times, but I’ll reiterate the sentiment of many: Psychonauts is one of the most inspired games ever built. It’s a wonderful, quirky journey filled with amazing characters, astonishing locations, and solid platform gameplay. Your first 15 minutes with Psychonauts will produce more smiles than most games provide from start to finish.

The mere thought of Civ coming to any console is enough to get me lathered up. I agree with the earlier poster that the DS is the ideal console. The stylus removes many control hurdles.

Unless I'm mistaken, the stick is wired. I'm surprised that nobody else has mentioned their disappointment over this aspect.
