Sony introducing one-time-use online codes with Resistance 3

This seems so stupid. so let me get this straight ive got so many questions for this stupid idiotic online pass.

- I buy the game new with the one time code.
-i bring it home, enter the code and play online.
- my brother then tries to play the game online on his account but can't, doesn't resistance have splitsccreen?? what about that, another 10$ dollars?
-i bring the game over to a friends house but cant play with him even though i still own the game and did not trade it in or sell it.
-does this mean dlc will be free?
-if i'm playsation plus do i have to pay the $10?

do you guys see how stupid this is? this makes me not want to buy resistance 3. i hope sony doesn't do this to other great titles.
