Boy on boy kissing in Bully
Oct 22nd 2006 9:15PM (Joystiq)"I'm pro-gay here, AND non-religious, but I don't exactly think a religious text can be right or wrong about guidelines/morals, because they are a completely relative thing. You can't say whether something is truely right or wrong, and that is why we DO have and STILL use those books. Withought religion, laws wouldn't have been formed, society would turn out completely differently, etc. You can't say the Koran is right or wrong, or the bible is right or wrong, depending on who you are talking to, what you're talking about, and whether there really is a right or wrong at all."
That statement is making a moral judgement about making moral judgements based on religious texts (that it isn't right to say that it is right or wrong). That means that your statement falls under your relative morality.
So can we say that this statement is right or is it just relative and so the religious texts can be true for some people while false for other people? But that would say that we each create our own reality, which probably isn't the case because we are all talking about the same scenario from Bully. This shows that all of our realities share this in common and we know at least, that Jack Thompson's reality would not have this game in it. Thus we all exist within one real universe.
But if you wanted to push along with the whole everything is relative to each person does it follow that you are a figment of my imagination since I know that I do exist and therefore I am creating your arguments for you?
You can thank me later for the arguments that I am thinking up for you! Hope you are having a great day!
