Uhh, no Grim Fandango, Max Payne (both games) or The Longest Journey? Lame list
And for those who're saying that Grim Fandango didn't have the best story, it did not but Grim Fandango's storytelling is some of the best in the medium. The ending was perfect and the characters were fantastic.
The worst list that I have ever seen. There is so much better stuff that could have been added. I mean they have Doom 3 over there, are you kidding me? BF1942 over BF2? Rome TW over Medieval II Total War?Halo CE over NOLF 2?
Mouse & Keyboard being more accurate than a controller is a fact not a lame, biased opinion. There is a reason why developers are avoiding cross-platform online play in their games when its a possibility. You talk about it being unrealistic? As far as I am concerned, its way more realistic than a god damn controller in which it takes you 5 seconds to take a 180 turn. In reality, a human would have a lot of reflexes in tense situations.
Back to the original topic, if these drivers are from the official nvidia site or the official nvidia drivers then this pretty much confirms a Gears port for PC.
@Daogoji Gai,The PC version will be superior. I'm not giving a fanboy opinion here but the game is being primarily developed on PC. It was first announced on PC and then a 360 game. The PC version has better controls, possibly better graphics, mods. I don't know why you're worrying about Live when this game won't have a multiplayer.
KOTOR II was as good as KOTOR I if not better. The story/writing were on par with KOTOR I (except the ending, you can thank Lucas Arts for that). I personally thought the writing and the characters were even better in KOTOR II. So what if the story didn't have a huge twist like the first game? A story doesn't need a unpredictable twist to be good. The quests in KOTOR II were simply more fun than KOTOR I. As for the person who said that why didn't Obsidian make a add-on pack for KOTOR II, are you retarded? That decision is up to Lucas Arts not Obsidian and do you think Lucas Arts would ever allow that? Do you think a company would publicly claim that they were responsible for the game being rushed and having a lot of content cut?
As for the engine/performance, it was the same as the first game due to little time difference between the sequel and the original.
Considering the amount of time that Obsidian took to make KOTOR II (13 months unless I am wrong), I would rather see Obsidian develop the game rather than Bioware. Obsidian did a damn good job in that short time despite pressure from Lucas Arts. I believe they can do a better job if they are given the ample time. Chris Avellone (KOTOR II, Planescape Torment, NWN2) is definitely capable of writing a excellent story. Hopefully the project goes to Obsidian. It definitely won't be Bioware because Bioware has already said it before that they won't do licensed games anymore. It's for the good of us anyway if you look at the poor quality of Bioware's previous game (Jade Empire). Hopefully a official announcement regarding KOTOR III is made soon.
"Google NDP and PC game sales. The PC gaming market has been loosing market share and dropping annual sales every year for the last 7 years. In 2005 it dropped 15%. Console gaming market and annual sales have increased every year for the last 7 years.
Most of the games you list are old....or in the case of BF2142 a MOD you have to pay for....Try POEII it is better and FREE!"
PC games sales have decreased over the past few years at stores but at the same time, they have significantly increased online. As time passes by, more & more people buy their games online. With digital distribution becoming more common (Steam,EA downloader, GameTap etc.), more & more users are buying their games online so that is why retail stores sales are decreasing.
And no, BF2142 isn't a mod. When I first played the demo, thats how I felt but as I gave it more time, I found that its a great online FPS if you can overcome its full retail price ($49.99).
Back to the original subject. As far as Gears coming to PC is concerned, it will obviously come to PC someday even if that picture just has Gears there for demonstration purposes. There have been rumors about it coming to PC before too (J Allard saying that its a Xbox360/PC title) and unless I am wrong, it has already been demonstrated using a PC. Anyway, it will definitely come to PC someday. Especially if M$ makes it a Vista exclusive, it would make even more sense. I am pretty damn sure that if they already have plans to port it, then a port is already being worked on. I would say that its probably a Q2 2007 release at the earliest although it should likely come at Q4 2007.
"Well, i think the moral of the story is pretty obvious. When money is no object, and all you care about is graphics, get a PC. If you care about unique games and unique gameplay, get a console."
LMAO, innovation? Explain whats unique about Xbox360 and PS3 other its HD support? Where is the innovation in games? Are you trying to say that Resistance is a innovative shooter or that Gears of War is a innovative shooter? The only console offering innovation is Wii which is causing it to sacrifice graphics for the innovation. However, innovation has always existed in PC games. Ever heard of indy games?
@Dazz As a owner of the game as well, NWN2 is a huge improvement over the original. The original wasn't a masterpiece or an amazing RPG. The game was saved by its community. NWN2 is a improvement in every way. The OC is much better, the toolset is better, and of course the graphics. The 1up review was horrible as the guy seemed liked a D&D Community hater rather than a unbiased editor. After all, he was making comparisions to Oblivion which is a totally different type of RPG.For KOTOR II, Obsidian did a better job in 13 months (KOTOR II's Development Cycle) than Bioware did in 5 years that it took to make KOTOR I. They created a sequel which was nearly as good as the original if not better because of the ending (Blame Lucas Arts for that).
People here are saying that they dont wanna spend $1200 on a new PC so they did rather play it on 360 but what they need to know is that people with $1200 PCs dont want to spend $400 on a new console when they already have a great PC.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3
Feb 13th 2007 9:21PM (Joystiq)I wouldn't even bother playing the console version because this game isn't very demanding. If you can run Doom 3, you can run this too.
Windows XP games: We're not dead yet
