'Moon Diver' now called Necromachina, added to Square Enix E3 lineup

Jun 10th 2010 11:56AM (Joystiq)
Was I the only one who thought of Strider when I saw the sword slashes? I guess so. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this.

Square Enix and feelplus team up on 'Moon Diver' for XBLA

Jun 10th 2010 9:56AM (Joystiq)
Feelplus was in charge of the cinematics for Lost Odyssey and they're still great today. I am really excited for this game. Feel plus has co-developed a PS360 title since Lost Odyssey and I'm happy to see them back in the game.

@Ezio - You have the best userid anywhere. That's the best protagonist name of all-time.

Metareview: Alpha Protocol

May 28th 2010 3:50PM (Joystiq)
Perhaps I was a little harsh in cancelling my pre-order. I will definitely pick the game up when it's below $40. I am still very interested in this game. This is my first Obisidian Entertainment adventure and I really want it to be good.

Joyswag: Alpha Protocol-themed 8GB iPod Touches [update]

May 28th 2010 10:27AM (Joystiq)
A spy would hack into a Wi-Fi hotspot (undetected), access 1up.com, read this review, and email Best Buy to cancel this pre-order. Maybe that's just what any gamer would do after reading 1ups review. Good on 'em.

Joyswag: Alpha Protocol-themed 8GB iPod Touches [update]

If I were a spy, I'd store in the my target's glove box, turn on the gps locater, and sync it w/a car bomb that explodes the front driver's tire just as it makes a left turn on a windy mountain road. What? It's just a thought.

Then, i'd set another alarm to play "Another one bites the dust." Queen for the win!

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 trailer is epic

May 25th 2010 10:12AM (Joystiq)
The anime translates it to Jiraiya-boy as well. I guess it's because the frog is Jiraiya's elder so he can honorifically address his as boy (assumption). At any rate, it seems to hold the essence of the anime intact so I can't wait to finally play this series. I just picked up a PS3 in January so NUNS was not a playable option when it was hot. Cyberconnect 2, please make a Bleach game on the same engine.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 trailer is epic

Epic? That's an understatement. The game must reach the final Naruto v. Pain batte. I've been pleasantly surprised with the manga thus far and it really has evolved. IF Cyberconnect makes the free-roam as Ubisoft did in Naruto; ROAN, this will be the ultimate anime game. At least until they produce a Bleach game for the 360. Ulquiorra (2nd release) for the win!

@Faenix: Ubisoft didn't renew the license w/NB for Naruto so sadly, no more Ubi Naruto games. Broken Bond was kind of a disappointment in the free-roam category but the fighting improved. Still have both Ubi copies at home. Hmmm......

Namco Bandai announces new action game Knights Contract

May 20th 2010 11:40AM (Joystiq)
This game reminds me a lot of Nier's old footage but with a nicer engine. Enslaved, Namco's Majini game, and this all have the an AI-controlled cooperative theme. Very, very interesting. Add Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet 2, and Nier to the list and it is clear the direction Japanese developers are moving. Nice!

Alpha Protocol's Michael Thorton goes globetrotting in latest trailer

May 18th 2010 10:12AM (Joystiq)
I've been waiting on this game since it's release date in September/October. I will finally be able to play this game. This is my first-ever Obsidian-developed game and I am really looking forward to it. The choice in skills, dialogue, and even chronological order all make this an intriguing game. Picking my pre-order up on June 1.

Joyswag: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

May 18th 2010 10:06AM (Joystiq)
The Sands of Time was my first Prince of Persia experience and it is a magical adventure. The rewind ability was groundbreaking on the PS2 and the voice actors and actresses elevated the game from innovative to epic. I played all successive PoP games with the exception of The Two Thrones b/c it lacks backward compatability on the Xbox 360. I would love the PS3 version of this game because my PS3 library is very small right now. Thank you.
