Some of you guys opposing same-sex kissing in games startle me in your ignorance.

1) If gay sex (which this is just a mere hint at) is bad because it's not reproductive, are you also against contraceptives and heterosexual recreational sex in general?

2) Don't come dragging out the old natural selection argument against it either: that only applies to species that spend their entire time eating, sleeping or fornicating. As soon as you can sit down in a heated apartment in front of a non-essential computer and spend time discussing boys kissing boys in a video game, natural selection no longer applies: congrats, you're at the top, spend your time as you see fit.

3) It's a taboo subject, generally not covered in games outside Japan. Should games only tackle "safe" subjects? How is e.g. the Second World War, associated with plenty of suffering and terrors, a good subject for games, and teenage attractions not?

4) Does this scene in any way invalidate the rest of the game about being new at a school and trying to fit in? Does the occurences of incest in the Old Testament make the Bible a "dirty book" invalidating the rest of it?

5) There are countries where showing naked skin on women is taboo. Should the DOAX games be banned? Why won't your "moral superiority" agree with that? Because you in particular like to look at 3D models of bikini-clad women? Why should that be an excuse for allowing the game to be published? By allowing them on the XBox, did Microsoft say: "We're into pr0n lolz!"? Why not?

Actually, "Raving Mad" Jack Thompson (coming to a wrestling stable near you) did go after The Sims for the nude patch stuff back in the day. As would be expected the whole thing ran into the sand, like this little crusade against Bully/Canis Canem Edit will. But R* gets a ton of free publicity.

And yes, people who refer to the Old Testament in their attacks on gays should also attack other OT no-nos like cheeseburgers, bacon or working Saturdays. Or be branded fecking hypocrites.
