@mcnerven I was totally thinking about halo when he said you don't hum modern music. One of my biggest reasons for liking those games.

as for memorable moments, the opening to borderlands is up there as well.

somthing to think about, in newer games you CAN put music in the background. In old games, you really couldn't. There was no voice. Sound effects were rendered on the same channels as music. You couldn't slide the music back and make it be background behind the sound effects. It also repeated, over and over and over. more variety in a game makes it less memorable. Just my thoughts.

@TwEE I do. I mean, last i checked when I got a CD player i decided that my cassette tapes could go away. Much like my VHS collection is long gone and replaced by DVD's.... and slowly turning into blu-rays. My PC used to have a floppy disk, but I decided I didn't need that anymore. I guess GoG is my replacement for that. Just saying, I'm very OK with abandoning old technology for new, especially if I can get my old media in digital form on the new one.

Wing commander/Ultima?? I want a re-release. I'm ok with no changes. Just all the old origin games.

@Lucky48 I just listened to that album at work today.

And they wonder why people are always in a rush to be able to play content without purchasing it. Perhaps if they let LEGIT owners of content actually use it, people wouldn't be so anxious to be able to play 'backups'.
