No it wouldn't be fair if they pulled the Steam copies out of Portal 2, but that was public knowledge that they were doing that long before the game came out.
Now I'm not a sure but was the OnLive version even mentioned on the box? The first I heard about it was on Joystiq. Did anyone know they were even doing this? Did this impact anyone's purchasing decision? "Free OnLive version with the disc version?! Sign me up!"
I just don't see a problem with this. Plus they are offering returns to anyone if they feel they are upset, which some people will do anyway even after installing the game and keeping it there.
I think I like reading the comments more then the actual reviews sometimes.
I think ill pass on this game. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved the first game. I bought it at about 8$ and was hardcore into it. It was like a movie you would say "it's so bad, its good." But when you make a sequel to a bad movie and try to make it better, it loses its charm. Also, if you try to keep the cheese, it'll probably fail. Unintentionally fun is only fun if unintentional.

How about this one:
You buy a DVD from Walmart and inside is a 10$ off coupon to your next DVD only at Target. How's Walmart suppose to react?
OK last one:
You buy a copy of Battlefield, you get a completely free download for CoD. Activision would be pretty upset I'm sure.
