I was going to put a well thought out argument down, but I figured screw it. Its just GTA with max payne in the title. There is literally nothing resembling the first two games at ALL. Rockstar really screwed this one up.
I think the only devs who use GFWL are the ones bribed by microsoft because its near universally hated. I love steam, but gfwl puts me in a rage, about lost it when I bought batman:AC and had that gfwl bs popup. Here is a note dev, steam is good, gfwl/origin is garbage that nobody likes. Ignore the bribes from these companies and stick with the winning digital download service.
Oh well, since it was origin only, I was not going to buy it anyway. I was considering getting it for a console (although I prefer PC) when the price dropped. However, it looks like I will wait a while for a goty/complete edition. Man, I hate EA(ware). I wish bioware never sold out.
Wow, what pure B.S. this is "...the heart and soul of Max Payne gameplay has always been as a pure shooter,". Uh no, the heart and soul was the noir feel which rockstar ripped out and replaced with their GTA wannabe clone. I really cant figure out what the hell rockstar was thinking. I really hate this trend in games/media of taking the name of something with a cult flowing and slap it on something unrelated or very loosely connected to get people to play/watch it. X-com, max payne 3, SGU, caprica. I have tried to see max payne in everything we know about MP3 but I just don't. What a waste.
Wow, I am honestly very tempted. However, my hate for origin/ea is (barely) greater. Will pass thank you very much. Put it on steam EA, stop being pricks.
What part of origin/ea should I be happy about getting? The part where it scans my computer and send personal information to EA? Or the part where if I get on EA's forum and say something they don't like, they can prevent me from playing ANY ea games I OWN on my OWN computer? Oh, and don't forget the pare where it says after two years there is no guarantee the game is yours anymore and you have to buy the game again. Sorry, EA is a POS company that needs to burn to the ground and I will not use their spyware infested DRM leash for nothing.
@Spacegrass I agree, you clearly see a huge drop in quality almost at the moment that EA bought them out. The only reason DA:O was good is because it was already almost finished when EA bought them. However, you did see their influence when you ran across NPC's trying to sell you DLC IN THE GAME. Then it's been all downhill ever since. Only the most loyal/fanatic bioware fans keep defending them. I would like to see ME3 reverse this trend and go back to their RPG roots, however the videos I have seen has not filled me with confidence.
Too bad I won't be playing it since its an origin exclusive and all(I know it cliche, but no steam no sale). Of course You know that important plot elements were taken out to be turned into DLC so would have waited anyway for the goty. Then their is also their track record of crappy releases lately. ME2 was only ok, pretty generic and boring, then don't even get me started on the turd of DA2. Bioware is just EA anyway (before anybody says something to defend bioware, these are biowares OWN WORDS). So, not really feeling the love.
