I already had this preordered and guess I will still pick it up. Pissed that they probably cut out something that SHOULD have been in the game anyway to sell as a separate DLC. Any future Square Enix game is now on my, wait till game is released a month to make sure no DLC is announced, if so, then wait till complete goty or big sell.
It's not a good sign, it just means they are going to try and push it through when nobody is looking. Like soapa, it got shelved and is already fast track to February!!! These greedy corporate whores make me sick. They will also try to attach it to some unrelated bill, save the orphanage and stop pedophile bill or something.
I am still not getting good vibes, even in the play demo video, there was forced action sequences I really did not like. Defeats the whole SILENT part of the assassin bit. I mean, When I go in to do a job, I want to get and out before anybody even knew I was there. Kill the targets, and do NON lethal take downs for civilians. I looks like they are going the splinter cell route after chaos theory :(.
I really wish he would remake Spore as it was intended(before EA and its stooges screwed it up). You know, the one that was demoed at E3 a million years ago. I still look at that video at wonder at what could have been.
Honestly, I am not really excited about ME3. Everything I have seen seems to indicate they focused on action first and RPG second. I used to play bioware(before EA taint) for great RPG's not action games. After the turd of DA2, and the dumbing of ME2, depending on how ME3 turns out, I will probably end up writing off bioware as an must buy RPG company.
@StrangeDNA from what I understand, its EVERY time you start the game (could be wrong) it checks. One time when you install is ok, its no different from steam. However, checking every time you start the game is stupid.
I was not too impressed when it was first announced, but it does seem to be getting much better, so I will keep an eye out for it. The only two complaints I have really is that the cartoonish cheesy art(too much wow influence) and a lot of the npc's seem too wooden in movement. Otherwise it looks promising.
They say it has not been dumbed down, nor removed the stealth part, but the "demo" shown seem to indicate a preference for action with dumbed down controls. Also, there was the option to knock out and NOT kill people(like civilians) in the original games, where is that option? There is also the mention in another article about learning about agent 47 past. Um what? Why? Why do I have this sinking feeling that they are going to introduce a love element to the game. Also, we already had a flashback game, we don't need another.
