Damnit Joystiq! Stop making me relive happy memories of the ol' days and reminding me why I need Half-Life 3!!

I know they are trying their hardest to find a middle ground with the classic Operation Flashpoint and modern "broski" shooters (ehem, MW2), but it's doing them more harm than good. I love the original OF and I still get on it sometimes but I guess if you want to quantify it, I'm a hardcore gamer. So I know well enough that this is a niche that you have to embrace full on or you will fall flat.

No goin halfies like, for example, the abomination that is NFS: Shift. I'm not saying that blending the genres is necessarily a bad idea in all cases, but something things are better left as they were.

Well, had it occurred to you that it might be a flash back or they are having a summarized lead up in the story that branches off the book?

The alternative would be that she is talking to Cortana's older sister, "Kalmiya" (If I spelled it correctly) about the new generation (that she isn't supposed to know about!)
