28 hours later, Warcraft gets its first Level 70

Jan 17th 2007 2:29PM (Joystiq)
My problem with WoW is that the actual gameplay is boring and not inherently satisfying. Walk here (slowly). Kill X guys to get item X. Deliver said item to this person. Rinse, repeat ad infinitum cum lvl. 70. Oh and pay $15 per month for the 'pleasure.'

The music and the atmosphere and the art direction are all fantastic but the core of the gamplay is that you pay actual real world money to level a character online. That's really all it is.

It's a $15 per month Elven Running Simulator.

Shadowrun has online party system, further damages Epic's claim [update 1]

Why is this license being wasted on a fucking FPS? How insane would an HD, Shadowrun RPG be? With the gameplay mechanics of the Genesis version (free form adventuring, open-ended) and the story and music of the SNES version?

I love what Microsoft is doing with the 360, but, come on!

360 game sitting pretty on Famitsu list ... really?

Wow big surprise. Sakaguchi, Uematsu and the DBZ creator back together again with the amazing hardware that is the 360? Who WOULDN'T want that game? Mistwalker is going to be where it's at now. Since Square dropped Sakaguchi and Uematsu left, there's no magic in Final Fantasy anymore. It makes me sad to say it but I've moved on.

The music is a MAJOR letdown in this game. The world is cool, the voice acting is fantastic but the atmosphere is not right at all. Without Uematsu it's not the same.
