Adding content as a FREE UPDATE. Thank you Bethesda. I remember when I first picked up Dirt 3, I put the game in and realized that the release trailers actually showed more cars than were actually in the game. Guess what was in the first DLC pack. That's right, the missing cars. Some developers make games, cut them up and charge you twice. Others will make the bulk of the game, and if they feel they missed something, they give to you. There's something to be said about integrity here...
A developer adding game content as a FREE UPDATE. Thank you, Bethesda. Granted it's not much content, and I'm sure some will argue that the kill cams should have been in the game to begin with, but it's the thought that counts. After all, it they're wiling to do the kill cams as an update, then what else are they willing to do. Spears, mounted combat, seasonal foliage, if not as an update, then maybe with an already planned DLC release (hint, hint). And all this in a day where day one DLC packs are so common.
@Shadowbender I concur. I'll admit that my personal relationship with Silent Hill is limited, I can attest to the greatness of the originals. Playing any new game in a classic and beloved series before playing the originals is generally a bad idea. I wouldn't recomend playing Final Fantasy XIII before playing VII, for example.
The first day I played I got disconnected, but since then it's been flawless. All things considered, MW2 would lag and disconnect me much more than BF3. On a daily basis really. And thats after the games been out for years. So give Dice and EA a break, are a few early hiccups really all that big a deal?
I first played CoD. I'll admit that I loved it. I bought Black Ops, played through it, and it was trash. Played the multiplayer, and it lacked that intagible zing. Something about it was off. I did enjoy Zombies, but not enough. When it came time to clean out my collection, Black Ops went (while I kept much "lesser" games like Fuel). From what I understand, MW3 will be much like MW2 with changes to make the mulitplayer more competative, more fluid, and with more variety (realativly). Which is exactly why I intend to buy BF3. I want something truely different. I even went so far as to preorder it.
I really want the escort mk ll, and the whole charity thing is great and all, but all these cars should have been in the game in beginning. I remember seeing trailers that featured cars (Lancia Delta S4, Peugot 205 t16) that as of now aren't even in the game. The made the game, cut out some content, and sell it back to use as "DLC". In my opinion it's a rip off. Just wait, the cars mentioned above and the Lancia Stratos will be part of the next DLC.
