they probably would nuke the multiplayer though unfortunately. Reason I loved halo 2 was for the way you leveled up in MP, not like today where all that matters is how much you play which really takes no skill, you just gotta take your time. While it did have some glaring problems, I am proud to say I peaked around level 34 in slayer & snipers, by far not the best but in todays games rank just dictates how much you play not your skill level so who cares if you are a Major or w/e.
Alas you are probably right, just wish the people on earth find out that master chief survived lol. Perhaps Cortana goes crazy but as her final act of humanity that you think she lost she saves master chief from a brutal and untimely death to return to earth.:D
I was very satisfied with how halo 3 ended. Not saying I am not excited about a new trilogy, but I just don't want my expectations to fall short. He better make it back to earth in the 6th halo, I'm a big fan of happy endings.
