Monster Hunter 2nd G ships 1.5 million in less than two weeks

Apr 10th 2008 3:48PM (Joystiq Playstation)
It's the camera. It's horrible. Without a second analog controller it requires a button press to reset it to your character's viewpoint. That's very irritating when it comes to hunting monsters that may be behind you, to the side, etc., and rushing you.

Lost: The Constant

I would agree with this flux theory. I think that the speed of an object as it heads toward the island determines the level of time dilation. Just as an object's speed as it gets closer to the speed of light affects its time dilation.

Video games give B-list actors a second chance

Keith David also narrated Ken Burns' recent documentary about World War II. That's hardly B-list either.

It'll be perfect if it has an Xbox controller and plays like Halo.

Overheard at GDC: "Greatest moment of my life"

Mar 8th 2007 1:29PM (Joystiq)
"When you're a creative person (like a game developer), moments like that *are* better than marriage, kids, and the like."

Um, no they're not.

You try telling your pregnant wife that the greatest moment of your life was meeting Shigeru Miyamoto.

Finally, we get a Halo Wars update

Apple iPhone up close

Jan 9th 2007 5:00PM (TUAW.com)
If it can share songs over a network like iTunes, and make music purchases wirelessly like iTunes, doesn't this device make the Zune completely irrelevant?

I mean, if it runs OS X and iTunes and has WiFi/Edge, wouldn't the above two capabilities be a no-brainer?

And for people who just wanted an apple branded phone: Just buy any phone and put an apple sticker on it. Clearly Jobs' intention is to go big with this device and converge a lot of things and make them simple. An apple-branded me-too phone would be worthless.

Nintendo should've shaped the wiimote like a bag of oranges. Then it would never leave a bruise.

#2: That would be Wiis for free, plural.
