EA devours competition, wins spicy burger contest for third straight year

Jul 7th 2006 9:48PM (Joystiq)
Prince of Wales, San Mateos finest in this blog brings the credibility of this blog to an all time high. Congrats to Joystiq for honoring one of the bay areas finest establishments. The Habanero Burger is legendary, I have seen the strongest ox fall in a whimpering pile of defeated man after 2 bites. Finishing one results in the most intense "burning ring of fire" that one can imagine...and I dont mean Johnny Cash if you know what I mean. Congrats to EA...this is actually a strong victory.

Metareview: 25 to Life (PC/PS2/Xbox)

Feb 6th 2006 4:26PM (Joystiq)
funny that the reviews dont quite match up with the people enjoying it online. close to 20 thousand have registered and played online. would be interested to hear joystiqs personal impressions of their time spent online playing this...oh wait, we know that wont happen. bored with joystiqs meaningless bashing of titles that we know they have not played...borrrriiinnngggggg. guess thats why kotaku owns and you are doodoo.

Godfather "later in 2006" for PSP & 360; on PS2, PC, & Xbox in March

Jan 27th 2006 9:55PM (Joystiq)
the godfather team begins working on 360 in a few weeks, the good news for you 360 owners is that you will get a shitload of extra content where all of us non 360 owners wont. the 360 is a 1.5 version, dont sleep its going to be sick.

25 to Life creator: "I experienced kind of a moral dilemma"

Jan 27th 2006 8:30PM (Joystiq)
another example of joystiq not checking there facts. 25 to Life has been blowing off the shelves and there are over 10 thousand registered people playing their online. what no reviewer cares to mention is that the title has a solid online including customizable characters which people have been clamoring for, but they are quick to jump all over "urban" and use the word "clone" when this title has some of the most original features of all of them. would be nice if the overwhelmingly white reviewers paid attention to what the mass market consumer liked because all of you "hardcore gamers" are missing the point.

25 to Life freed at last

Jan 11th 2006 8:21PM (Joystiq)
actually Ritual didnt make this game, but they did do a few levels. Avalanche Software MADE the game, and it looks great and plays well. online is present with customized characters. while the marketing of the game might be off a bit the game runs the full spectrum of crime and cops from the street level guys to the kingpins, from the street cops to the dea. doesnt anyone that post on this site pay attention to details, read reviews, or play betas? apparently not...
