Aug 30th 2011 8:36PM (Joystiq)As mentioned above, our development team is rather small, so it takes quite a while to put together a game with the level of polish we are shooting for.
Retro/Grade preview: A step forward, backward
Aug 30th 2011 8:25PM (Joystiq)The credits in the beginning of the video are actually silly fake names. The development team has been a max of 3 people full time (it was 2 for quite a long stretch), but we've worked with a bunch of different contractors over the 3 years of development, so the final real game credits will be longer than 3.
Microsoft never told us personally that we can't publish on PSN first, but they pretty much came out and said that is their policy:

We are looking at our options with respect to other platforms, but don't have anything to announce right now.
Anyway, I think you will be pleased when the game comes out.

Feb 22nd 2011 10:04PM (Joystiq)1) For the actual proposal, I was down on one knee, and I asked her to marry me. The video was filmed with my webcam with the light disabled, so I apologize if that was unclear.
2) We had already talked about getting married, so I decided to do the video game method because I figured it'd be surprising and the best grand gesture I could do.
3) There are a range of different approaches to proposing and different things work for different couples. Some people like the sports billboard proposals while others like intimate proposals over dinner. This is what worked best for us.
4) Her name was hardcoded. :-P
5) Once I finish work on Retro/Grade, I might like to flesh A Mobius Proposal into a full game that does not require you to propose to win. :-D
