@Tamyu 3D is meant to be experienced in a dark room.. Not in a store with tons of bright & interfering light that messes with the emitter and glasses...

@KuztomX No, they are not.. do your research again and consider there are other ways to enjoy 3D at home.

You don't need to purchase a 2010 3D TV.. There are DLP's that have been doing it since 2008... christ.. facts are helpful, eh? :)

You can go and buy a 65" 3D DLP from best buy of all places for $1299. Add the adapter kit (two pair of glasses, emitter, adapter) and you are at $1700. And that's RETAIL PRICING.

Shit, last week you could have scored a 73" DLP 3D ready set for $1050 ... add the adapter at $400 and you are obviously under $1500.

@CaptainProtonX .. OR, you could have already bought a 3D tv if you purchased choice DLP's in the last 2 + years..

They have been advertising 3D for a while now.. People are getting pissed because they didn't care then and now are interested and need another TV.

It sucks for sure.. But, not everyone is in the "need a new tv" boat..

@JXCGunrunna try the glasses out first.. the new stereoscopic (digital) 3d glasses are light, comfortable and you don't care that they are on your face.

How do I know? I'm using them. PS3D ftw.

You can find 3D DLP tv's for under $2000. A freakin' deal last week netted you 73" for $1050.. Add a $400 kit that includes everything you need for 3D (minus the source, aka PS3, BluRay).

Yep, I can't hang a DLP from the wall but you can't buy an LCD/Plasma this big either.

The glasses aren't nearly as bad as people think they are. New digital 3d (stereoscopic) glasses are pretty comfy and light as hell.

This isn't your grandaddy's 3D..

You don't HAVE to go out and buy a new TV.. some DLP from 2008+ are already 3D ready and require an adapter and glasses.

my 73" DLP from 2009 does Stereoscopic 3D. It rocks.. Been playing the PS3 3D "launch" games for the past few weeks.

3D is here. Like it or not. ;)
