This is kinda obvious. When I first learned to map in high school, i also created a counter-strike map of my school (well part of it; i gave up after a while, which is why i respect this kid for actually completing his) When brainstorming a map, theres an 80% chance that you're sitting bored in class. In that situation, it's pretty easy to be inspired to map your school.
The one in Nausicaa was pulled by ropes by more powerful aircraft for like half the movie, as I remember. It was more of a glider that relied on wind than on the weak engine.
Ambrosia has never disappointed me yet. Back in the day, I considered buying a mac solely to play Escape Velocity. Then EV:Nova came out for Windows and I was delighted. :D
I dont understand what was so great about vgcats this week. What was the point of the vegetables? Do they have some hidden meaning or do obscure metaphors make it more funny? I was stuck between digital unrest and dueling analogs. Both made me laugh
This has nothing to do with the cost of the game. The game costs about 15 dollars at best buy retail, or buy half-life for $10 and use that cd key. It has to do with the cost of hosting a Counterstrike server. I've been to a lot of CS servers that had advertising decalled onto a wall or something years ago. Hosting a server costs money. Either the server's operator's rich parents pay for it, or donators pay for it. The best (lag-free, updated) servers seem to be the ones that have a real source of revenue to pay for their costs.
