Rumor: Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC spotted

Mar 13th 2012 3:37PM (Joystiq)
Yeah, sold. I love ME3's multiplayer mode. My only fear/questions is whether or not you can just buy these new classes and items, or will you still have to random unlock them in packs?

I hate that aspect of it, just let me buy the thing I want!

Game not stocking Ninja Gaiden 3, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

We just need one article, titled GAME not getting games. Done.

What can Japanese RPG developers learn from Rayman: Origins?

Mar 9th 2012 11:46AM (Joystiq)
I wouldn't limit just JRPG developers to learning from Rayman Origins. I think a lot of developers could learn of Rayman's endearing charm, cute but sophisticated visuals and creative world design.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning sold 330,000 in the US last month

Mar 9th 2012 11:27AM (Joystiq)
I really liked the Amalur demo, but unfortunately it was floating at this point where it was surrounded by other games I wanted to play more. It came out right after Final Fantasy XIII-2, and a few weeks before Mass Effect 3. I knew I wouldn't have adequate time to put into it right now, but it's at the top of my list to try out during the annual summer lull.

BioWare investigating fix for Mass Effect 3 face import errors

Mar 7th 2012 5:51PM (Joystiq)
I only hopped on ME3 briefly. Of my 2 sheps, the one I began in ME2 imported fine, but the one I've been using since ME1 got the bone. (In other words, didn't.)

However, I imagine that ME2 and 3 use mostly the same sliders. My plan was to hop into ME2 when I get home, take some notes on where I had the sliders set for the character in ME2 and try to re-create them in ME3. Although, I will miss the glowing scars, which I understand are gone. My shep was not a nice shep.

Assassin's Creed 3 headed to Wii U, first trailer released

Mar 5th 2012 1:09PM (Joystiq)
I would refer to myself as "unreasonably excited" for this game. I love Assassin's Creed (Well, 2 at least) and American History, so this is more than up my alley. Can't wait to tomahawk some faces!

More Assassin's Creed 3 leakage, this time from Game Informer

Mar 1st 2012 6:54PM (Joystiq)
@AnimeGirl16 I'd agree with you regarding Assassin's Creed Revelations, which was far too much similar to AC: Brotherhood, which in turn was very similar to AC2 but the new multiplayer functionality helped

The reason AC III is acceptable is because clearly it's taking the adventure to a completely new environment with a cast of entirely new characters, and it's an age that has, as far as I know, never been thoroughly touched upon by an action game. The fact that there's a hatchet and flintlock pistol in his hands is also quite a bit different than Ezio's saga. CoD is unacceptable because of how little it changes from one entry to the next. AC: Revelations was much in that same pattern, but AC3 looks to be a big departure from the last couple games we played.

Yoshida: No UMD Passport program in the west because of pricing, demand

Wow, Final Fantasy Tactics?! A game that's only 14 years old can be picked up for $10?! What a steal!

Street Fighter X Tekken out on Vita this fall with 12 more characters

Feb 21st 2012 1:51PM (Joystiq)
Sweet, I'm glad I committed myself to skipping the 360/PS3 version long ago in lieu of getting it for Vita!
