iMame app pulled from iOS App Store after a few short days of freedom

Dec 28th 2011 2:10AM (Joystiq)
This has less to do with Apple hating emulators and more do to with the fact that these emulators allow users to violate copyright by playing ROMs, leaving Apple open to lawsuits. If you understand that, you see that the Capcom Arcade and Atari apps do not constitute exceptions as Capcom and Atari own the rights to the games that their emulators play.

What I’ll draw first? In what? Did I miss something?

Anyway I’ll probably draw some garlic first because I got WarioWario D.I.Y. recently.

No, I prefer to limbo with a load of legion devils in the late afternoon.

@Cat Herder They still sell the drums, though it looks like only in a bundle with the cymbals: http://store.gameshark.com/listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=323&numPerPage=50

@Gratchet And HMX didn‘t have any choice with Rock Band Network. RBN relies on the platform owners—Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft—offering users a way to submit and sell content. Microsoft has XBLA; Nintendo and Sony do not support this. I will give Nintendo and Sony a little credit for allowing some RBN content to come over, even if in limited amounts.

@Knives Chau Assuming not a troll, you can still buy the keyboard and game. Look around locally, try your favorite online game store, or worst case, through MadCatz: http://store.gameshark.com/listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=323&numPerPage=50

Yes, we PS3 owners don’t get a bundle. It sucks, and hey, it sucked when we didn’t get a RB3 + keyboard bundle when RB3 launched (rumors claimed MS interference). But you can still buy the game, a new keyboard, and even the RHCP songs separately, it’ll just cost a little more. If you really want to play the game, why let spite stop you?

@Gratchet You can still buy all five instruments new. They just didn’t release them as a bundle.

Or you could, y’know, do a little more than regurgitate the press release and check the MadCatz store: http://store.gameshark.com/listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=323&numPerPage=50 . There you’ll see that they still sell drums and microphones.

I _think_ the drums cost more than the old kit, but this bundle includes the cymbals and where else will you find them new? Also you don’t need the official Rock Band mic. Many USB mics will work; Harmonix just relabelled some model of Logitech mic.

Points off for calling the Game Boy “black and white”. It actually had a whopping four shades, and we loved each and every one of ‘em!
