This has less to do with Apple hating emulators and more do to with the fact that these emulators allow users to violate copyright by playing ROMs, leaving Apple open to lawsuits. If you understand that, you see that the Capcom Arcade and Atari apps do not constitute exceptions as Capcom and Atari own the rights to the games that their emulators play.
@Gratchet And HMX didn‘t have any choice with Rock Band Network. RBN relies on the platform owners—Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft—offering users a way to submit and sell content. Microsoft has XBLA; Nintendo and Sony do not support this. I will give Nintendo and Sony a little credit for allowing some RBN content to come over, even if in limited amounts.
Yes, we PS3 owners don’t get a bundle. It sucks, and hey, it sucked when we didn’t get a RB3 + keyboard bundle when RB3 launched (rumors claimed MS interference). But you can still buy the game, a new keyboard, and even the RHCP songs separately, it’ll just cost a little more. If you really want to play the game, why let spite stop you?
I _think_ the drums cost more than the old kit, but this bundle includes the cymbals and where else will you find them new? Also you don’t need the official Rock Band mic. Many USB mics will work; Harmonix just relabelled some model of Logitech mic.
