Robot Unicorn Attack to live in harmony, harmony with your iPhone June 1

May 20th 2010 5:45PM (Joystiq)
I think you mean Entertainment Weekly, not Electronic Weekly.

I don't know why people aren't watching The Mole

Jun 4th 2008 10:19PM (AOL TV)
I TiVo'd it and watched it tonight based upon TV Squad's recommendation. Couldn't watch past the first half hour. I found it extremely boring and lifeless. The whole jump from a waterfall thing (why bother going to a real waterfall when contestants are tethered so as not to fall) was silly for a first task, and the find/appraise/whatever items thing was just sad. I saw no one lying, no manipulating, no screwing with other players. No fun. Goodbye The Mole, I won't be watching you again.

3G iPhone Predictions

May 12th 2008 4:56PM (TUAW.com)
My wants are fairly simple:

- Better camera (flash would be nice too, but not necessary)
- Better speaker / microphone
- Black matte finish
- Standard headphone jack (not recessed)
- 32GB model

iPhone is 'unavailable' in UK and US Apple stores; 3G release imminent?

Clicky: Graphic on the left is from the US store, in dollars. The one on the right is from the UK store, in pounds.

Apple Store's US and UK sites run dry of iPhones, 3G imminent?

May 10th 2008 9:24PM (Engadget)
To have no phones to sell at a time when US taxpayers are getting their stimulus checks and you have graduations/weddings/father's day just seems like a huge lost opportunity for Apple. I have a hard time believing they're going to wait a whole month before ever selling another iPhone. They don't do that for new model iPods so I don't see why this is going to be any different. It's not like Apple's new at the manufacturing game either, I have a hard time believing they'd let supply deplete to nothing this far in advance of a replenishment.

iPhone is 'unavailable' in UK and US Apple stores; 3G release imminent?

The timing on this really doesn't make much sense. 1) People are getting their stimulus checks right around now and have the $$$ to spend. 2) With graduation and Father's Day upon us they have two potential holidays they will have lost for iPhone sales. 3) They've never before let products go "unavailable" like this, even more expensive laptops or other hardware.

I just don't see how they could go a whole month without selling another single iPhone. Seems like a lot of potentially lost ground there.

The argument that they're doing it to prevent people from returning "outdated" iPhones doesn't make sense either...they've never stopped selling outdated, about-to-be-obsolete iPods just because the next day they're gonna introduce a new one--IMO there will definitely be a market even for the used 2.5G iPhones after the 3G phone comes out 'cuz let's face it sometimes people don't need the absolute top of the line in speed or storage space. If a 2.5G phone were cheaper I'm sure there'd be plenty of people who would buy, just like there are plenty of people that buy Shuffles and Nanos when there are larger iPods out there.

iPhone Early adopters: Claim your store credit!

Sep 14th 2007 11:36AM (TUAW.com)
Friend of mine bought his iPhone last week, AFTER the price drop to $399. He went to the page and entered his info and surprisingly...GOT the $100 credit too! Ouch, Apple.

Apple screwed you: So now what?

Sep 5th 2007 4:37PM (TUAW.com)
I understand price drops over time. Not 9 weeks later, and not $200. That's where the kick in the balls lies. The iPhone's one of the best pieces of technology I've ever owned, so I'm not unhappy with the purchase. I just feel a bit betrayed. While I doubt there will be any reparations, it doesn't make me feel any better as a longtime Apple customer. A price reduction this drastic this fast is very uncharacteristic for Apple.

Beta Beat: Apollo IM leaves alpha, enters beta

Sep 4th 2007 3:41PM (TUAW.com)
I've got my fingers crossed Apple will have a first-party AIM application soon. Maybe tomorrow to piggyback on the iPod announcements.

Seeing these apps pop up every few days or so has me salivating. The phone needs native IM, and I don't want to have to rely on hacked software to get it.

Engadget exhaustively reviews iPhone

Ron: Are you a .Mac member? If it's syncing with .Mac that might be a little bit different than syncing with Gmail using Mail.app. Maybe. Just a thought.
