oh, i KNOW there are retards out there who work for gamestop. i've had to train some of them to work the right way. it just bothers me that somebody has ONE bad experience, and then thinks that ALL of us are horrible, disgusting money grubbers. i mean hell, i'll ask you what you have, what you like, etc, because i'd want the same thing for me were i to go shopping. but like you said, that's just me. and most people have tunnel vision about this.

i work at a gamestop, because honestly, i love games. you come into my store, i don't "bully" you, or push games you don't care about, i ask you what YOU are looking forward to, because chances are, it's available to reserve, so you don't bitch about us being sold out later on. "nag nag they were sold out and i didn't have it reserved " THEN LEARN YOUR LESSON ALREADY. jesus. you're just angsty you didn't get the game.

and i'm not ALL stars and rainbows, there are some points about the company i hate. but for god's sake, CHOICE. you don't have to shop at gamestop. the worst thing you could do to them is not shop there. blogging about how much you hate them in your livejournal does nothing. absolutely nothing.

stop making me feel like a fucking creep just for having a job.

My favorite scene is probably when Theron is assaulting Queen Gorgo for a spot on the senate floor. It's amazing what she's willing to go through to help her king, and her people. Very, very admirable.

um, gamestop never even took preorders on this. I know for a fact they didn't.

I think people like walmart and best buy for "customer service" because they have none. they don't talk to you, they don't say hello, they don't ask you if you need help, the ignore you until you hand them your money.

also, sure "oh rahrah you put yourself in that job, deal with it". we assumed since it's something as simple as VIDEO GAMES, that the customer base might not be totally pretentious douchebags who worry about a thin layer of plastic on a case or stupid shit like that.

but, one could always be wrong.

if you want money so bad, why not get a better job? don't take away a system from someone who wants it to play it. and if you think "oh, someone will get it, I'm selling it", yeah, sure, but that's just being a jerk and jacking up the price. taking advantage of someone.

ebayers who do that are idiotic. "oh, get the system here for assloads or you won't find one!" of course they can't find one. idiots like them are preordering all the systems.

okay, I work for a gamestop, and what's funny is, we're strict on that stuff. one per hosuehold, the person who sold that guy two wii preorders should theoretically be fired because he broke that policy, and, sure, we knew how many preorders we were going to have, but they had a certain number that employees could reserve. like, at my store, we had 18 wii preorders and 4 employee slots. no more than 4. we told everyone "hey, we'll have 14" because we knew the 4 employee slots were taken up. we told people that if they got here, and there were already 14 people, to not waste their time out in the cold weather. we never told anyone any lies, we went by the book. that's how it all should have been. hell, I tell people not to waste their money on ebay, because they'll be so many available.

not all gamestop/ebgames employees are assholes.
