I have always asked myself, why do we gamers care about market shares?

This is a strictly biz area. I don't give a rats ass for market shares. All I care off is good support and a flow of games for my console (which won't be a PS3 since it's damned expensive).

But come on guys... market shares? Why do -we- bother?

I am not sure of your understanding of the european phone market. But things are tough around here. At least in Sweden. There are tons of opportunities to get stuff for "free" when you sign up.

In fact folks have been given a free PSP since basically the first day the console was released.

And nowadays you see chains giving away a "free" 360 if you buy your lcd-tv from them.

It is all about marketing basically.

It's a remake of Super Mario Bros. What did people expect?

And too short? Super Mario Bros. gets beaten in 7 minutes. No body complains about that.

It's an arcade platformer. One of the best even. People who don't understand should.
