Yeah, you guys can stuff your $400 HDTVs. The contrast ratio on anything less that a high end Samsung or it's ilk (starting at $1200) is horrible. Black should be black, not light charcoal. A night scene should have colour resolution, not blocks of darks greys in changing patterns. That is the hype of HD. All these people are trying to convince to to buy a crap Norcent or Acer 32" for $750 because it is HD and will look so much better than what you have at home. I have a high end Toshiba SD flat tube and it destroys most of my friends cheap HDTVs just with component video and a clean DVD signal. You can have 110,000,000p and it still won't change the fact that you're watching a cheap walmart tv. Unless the contrast ratio is atleast 4000:1 your tv is a waste of money because YOU aren't seeing the whole picture, with your washed out visual. However, that being said, those of you with high end HDTVs (the real kind, especially HD tube and plasma) congrats on atleast having the sense to buy a real piece of technology, and congrats on the salary you must be making as well...
I preordered my Wii from Toys "R" Us back in february when it was still called revolution. #3 on the list behind two store employees. I thought all toys "r" us's did that?
