Notice MVC called it "a source close to Sony" in their original article. I don't think this Joystiq post is very accurate. I don't think this was an official response in any way.

There's nothing wrong with this, as the comments seem to suggest. Business (tax) incentives are VERY commonplace. That government is looking to be more receptive to developers is a good thing, Joystiq people, not a bad thing.

The fact that it only applies to "non-Mature" games should be common sense to anyone who lives in the United States. No representative wants Bloodfest 5 on the minds of their constituents.

This would be for my friend Paul, who's already given me Braid as an early Christmas present. He deserves something back, and if I don't win a copy of Lumines, I'll probably buy it or Echochrome for him.

Wow. You know -- I believe him. It's fairly obvious that almost all developers prefer working on the 360 framework.

But... The Last Remnant? That game had some of the most glaring technical flaws of any game this generation. Maybe "ease" isn't such a good thing for that team.

Then buy it now, for $60. It's worth supporting.

I was about to say -- 77MB didn't sound like much. 3GB is more like it.
