There's a key difference here:

Fox is big enough that they are capable of MAKING the news. It doesn't matter if it is true or false. Much like a bad chain letter, once the information they wanted to suggest has been released, there's no stopping it, and they get what they want in the end, whether it's controversy, publicity, or... whatever the hell it was they were suggesting with that piece. Game censorship?

EA hasn't bought exclusive rights to NCAA basketball. What are you guys smoking?

I hate EA as much as the next guy, but at this point, the only thing the story suggests are RUMORS. If EA had exclusive licensing, we sure as hell would have heard about it, and 2k wouldn't have been negotiating in the first place.

EA might hold some clout of the CLC, but again... it sounds like half of the commenters didn't even bother reading the post.

It will be a dark day in gaming if that acquisition ever occurs. But as far as I know, that would still be categorized as "hostile takeover," so it doesn't look like that one is in the books.

Oh God. More about the POV from someone who can't help but feel the game is "broken" because he doesn't like the way they designed it.

There are a lot of broken games out there, apparently.

Hope they include some of the deeper Chessmaster aspects, from the coaching to the tracking and such.

I bought an original Xbox and had nothing but Halo and SSX: Tricky for a fair amount of time. Needless to say, I played a good bit of Halo. I agree with Rob; there's nothing exemplary about Halo: CE and certainly about Halo 2. I'm glad they've helped the Xbox take off, but so far they're repetitive, vanilla first-person shooters.

Have you ever WATCHED The Simpsons? If not, I'll go ahead and spoil the episodes for you: The Simpsons make fun of Fox, a LOT! It doesn't surprise me to see this same mentality in a Simpsons videogame.

What a great demo. And what a disappointment to see that half the comments on this thread were about TimeShift. :'(
