Doc Talk: Big Deal You Shot That

Apr 8th 2010 8:17AM (Cinematical)
This is the movie that made me lose respect for the Beastie Boys. I thought that it was awesome that they did this. To have fans shoot their concert was a brilliant move. And then I read an interview with them about the cameras that they used. Ready for this? Instead of giving the cameras to the fans that shot the movie... they returned the cameras to the electronics store that they bought them from. Really? That's how they wanted to play this game? It reminds me of the people that buy a giant screen tv for the superbowl, then return it the next day!

Interview: Pierce Brosnan on Polanski, Percy, and R-Patz

Actually, I was paraphrasing the Pierce quote. Any time you support a convicted rapist, such as the Convicted Child Rapist Roman Polanski, you are just saying that it is perfectly okay to drug and rape someone.

Yes, that is EXACTLY what you are saying.

My agent said, "Roman Polanski would like to meet you. He's doing a movie." And I said, "Great! I would love to work with a convicted Child Rapist!"

Truly a class act.
Roman Polanski is a Convicted Child Rapist and should be shunned, not honored.

So America killed Sharon Tate? Hmmm... I am pretty sure that was the work of Charles Manson's Minions. Perhaps a little digging will assist you with that.

Even if the Entire United States of America had a democratic vote to kill Sharon Tate, I am still positive that supporting a Convicted Child Rapist is a bad idea.

So in Holland if you drug and have forced anal sex with a 13 year old girl, then confess to it, it's not Rape? Whew! Good to know!

And i refuse to remove the movie from it's maker. If the maker of a movie is a convicted rapist and someone that drugs and sexually assaults little girls, I refuse to see it. And people should not support the type of person that uses their money and influence to get away with heinous crimes against children.

If you support The Rapist Polanski and his works, then you support child rape. Period.

Since Terry Gilliam also supports the Rapist Polanski, he and all of his films are no longer allowed in my house.

Anybody that pays to see this movie is giving money to a convicted Rapist that drugged and Sodomized a 13 year old. vote with your wallets!

Theater Etiquette: What Are Your Rules of Engagement?

Dec 21st 2009 3:30PM (Cinematical)
It started with the hike in Movie prices. Then they started inflating the already outrageous prices for increasingly inferior snacks.

Then they started putting ads in front of movies. Coke commercials, or some other crap. I was still doing all right and could find a theater that has no commercials, decent Price to Theater Quality ratio and I brought in my own snacks.

I was perfectly happy, and then people started getting dumber. They seem less interested in enjoying the movie and more interested in testing my patience. This year, I finally had enough. After listening to a 3 year old giggle all the way through The Watchmen, and then having to listen to a baby in Paranormal Activity my love with the Movie Theater is over.

The last one truly made me give up. I politely asked for them to remove the baby, and was told, "You can't tell me what to do!" I let people know and the Manager came in and had them removed. Here's the kicker: those fine people left our theater, walked into the empty theater that my Lovely Wife and other Daughter were in. They sat next to them and started to complain (LOUDLY) that they were thrown out of the theater for bringing the (Still crying) baby!

The Lovely Wife and I started tossing cash into a jar every time we saw a movie that we wanted to see. $50 for our family of 4 to enjoy 1.5 hours of agony. Now, for Christmas, we are getting a 60 inch TV, and the movie theaters, and the people that go to them can bite me.

It is killing me that I am not seeing Avatar in Imax 3D, but I figure that if I can get through this, that I will be all set!
