As far as HoN being unfriendly is concerned.

I am what can be considered a 'noob' player, and I've been playing the game for a few months with no prior experience on Dota.

The absolute truth is that if you are a totally new player you can go and play No status games where you can start exploring the different concepts of different heroes. Honestly, if you swallow your ego for a few games, read guides, and put minimal effort into understanding the items, the skills, the mechanics and the dynamics of this game... you'll be pwning arse and winning respect in no time. It's only 30 bux for life.

LoL is just a kiddy game with outdated graphics, and silly imbalanced heroes and moves. It is far from free since you have to fork over a good amount of money to get anything decent out of it.
