Jun 14th 2009 10:44AM (Engadget)The demo company went to the GPS coords they had - which obviously were wrong. But I'd bet that they WERE accurately at the coords they had punched into their unit.
Yes, the demo company should have been more diligent. But hey, this is a bunch of guys who knock shit down, how brainly can you expect them to be? But it's also the fault of the database maintainers for making bad/inaccurate data available. This sort of thing, along with all the "drove off a cliff/into a creek" etc. stories originate with the sloppiness of the data providers who are assigning incorrect GPS coords to roads and landmarks.
