Jun 1st 2011 10:38PM (Joystiq)There are so few skills to mess with, and they are usually just augmenting your normal attacks for the most part. There are 2 skills that work for co-op, caddoc's tornado move, and the ability to imbue someone with lightning so their ranged attacks do some extra damage. Any interaction that requires co-op is so basic, it insults you. So far all I've seen are push the wall, and stand on the pressure plate.
I'm not sure why there is a loot system in the game, it's basically choose the weapon speed you like, then upgrade when you see one that does more damage.
Horrible story/characters.
The graphics are maybe early console release looking at best. I'm not picky on graphical looks usually, but it's hard not to notice here.
The mob types might change up how they look, but they all fight the same. You've got your melee, the archers, the magic users, and a smaller charging mob. 4 enemies, and when you enter a new area, they just change how they look.
Griffin's review is surprisingly kind to the game. I'm not sure what he saw in it.
All I saw was disappointment, I felt bad even renting it, I'm thinking about just sending it back early.
