@(Unverified) Jonathan Blow is a pompous dbag. Listen to a few podcasts where he's a guest and all he does is whine. I'm sure he's a talented individual but honestly I think his ego has gotten out of control.

This service means nothing if it just acts like another DVR machine and requires a cable subscription. What everyone wants is to not pay for cable but be allowed to opt in a la carte.

What use is it to pay for cable and to use the xbox instead of the cable box?

I agree with you about Jonathan Blow. I listened to him bitch and complain on one of the E3 GiantBomb podcasts while all the rest of the guests were having a good time and contributing to a meaningful discussion. Honestly iOS is his only chance at another hit if he excludes the consoles.

This could be cool as long as it's free. It's definitely not a game (more like an app).

I guess that's cool that Bungie is "publishing" / helping out indie developers with mobile games for the iOS and Android but this really didn't need to be teased at all. This is just disappointing for the vast majority of people.

A simple press release with no hype beforehand would have been much better.

Hackers figured this out WAAAAY back when. You can easily block that outward going traffic that reports to Sony. In fact, the GAIA backup manager cleans up your last played list so it appears that you haven't been using the BM.
