Spellborn shutting down in September
Aug 11th 2010 12:23PM (Massively)It was made AFTER the servers were taken offline, when all the players were downhearted and looking for people to blame.
I have been posting on sites such as this to TRY to get the game restored.
Regardless of your personal feelings towards me, many players feel I have gone beyond what others have done and at least tried my best. You two however are now trolling and attempting to flame me, which does our cause no good at all.
I am done, I am not feeding you two nasty individuals anymore.
All I want is our game back :(
Chronicles of Spellborn servers going offline next month
Aug 10th 2010 3:33PM (Joystiq)The players of The Chronicles of Spellborn were recently informed the game will be closing at the end of this month.
Since Acclaim sold out to Playdom months ago our community has been ignored by all administrators/moderators/support team and have been fighting keep the game going by contacting all the companies involved.
Acclaim did not reply to any e-mails.
Playdom replied stating they have no involvement in the game.
Spellborn NV did not reply.
Frogster directed us to their German site even after being told the correspondent was English and therefore unable to use a German site.
This latest news about the game's closure was not received by Playdom, but by a Games.com writer who received an e-mail from Playdom informing them of this decision, this seems strange as they informed us they are not involved in the game.
We love this game, and do not want it to end.
The players have created a petition here to keep the game online - http://www.petitiononline.com/tcos/petition.html
We have appealed to Playdom to review their decision but are not hopeful of a reply.
We think the online gaming community has a right to know about how these companies treat their players.
@ Historian, thank you for being one of the few who was decent enough to talk to us about it :) xx

Spellborn shutting down in September
Aug 10th 2010 3:19PM (Massively)She posted this -
UPDATE (8/7) A few CoS players didn't believe this report, so I have posted the email received from my contact at Playdom.
Underneath is a screenshot of the actual e-mail she received.
I really doubt anyone is going to release an official statement either on forum or officially to news sites ArroW, and the above information is on our forums, as you are a member of that forum surely you have seen it?
Accusing me of making our community look bad is totally unnecessary and reeks of attempted flaming, it seems YOU are making us look bad now :(.
I love the community, this is why I am fighting to get people to take notice and keep it going.
(If my previous comment about this appears, I apologise, but I did not receive the confirm comment e-mail so I assume it did not work)
Debbie xx
