Reverse-Typecasting: Top 15 'What?!?' Movie Casting Moments

Jul 17th 2010 3:34PM (Moviefone Blog)
Nobody else thought Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook was off-character? He's supposed to be the clumsy but cute protagonist, not the suave and evil villain. And yet, what a suave an evil villain he did make!

No, he's Mega Man. He's noble! He definitely said "Freeing Ghandi." Because that's just the kind of thing Mega Man would do.

What did he say at the end? He did it for Ghandi? Aw, that's so sweet.

Ah, that's another question altogether. You see, I would gladly pay $250 for this kick-ass intro, but what kind of moron would pay $400 for an ugly lump of plastic with no good games on it?

Oooh, buuuuurnnnnnnn!

I *could,* but the emphasis is that I'd be willing to pay the full $250. That's how cool the video is.

Wii Fanswag: No More Heroes

My hero is Captain Planet. Granted, I've only really got Dick Cheney to compare him against in the portions of my life I remember, but Captain Planet was the best Vice President I can imagine. He introduced progressive legislature, and was a respectable figurehead to boot. Against all logic, he even *improved* after leaving office. Somehow, Captain Planet lead his own movement without any political clout, and produced an award-winning documentary which earned him a Nobel Prize. There are people who disagree with Captain Planet's official stances, and some people who think he doesn't practice what he preaches, but I know that Captain Planet wants only what is best for his country, and what is best for our planet. He's a hero because he does what he thinks is right, no matter what.
