@bluehand70 Judging from the look of it, I think the yellow part at the top is a sticker or something that was applied right before the display was set up.

@Vund I didn't quite phrase that right, I suppose. What I was saying was that this kind of thing doesn't really happen AND it ends up being a mistake.

Aside from that GTAV thing, which I didn't see anywhere but that spot and just seems like random placeholder date that GameStop has in the system, those other two were correct confirmations of release dates. MW3 did in fact come out on November 8, and Mass Effect 3 is in fact coming out on March 6.

@Vund Stuff like this doesn't really happen all the time, though. A retailer's not going to go to all the effort of manufacturing full-size endcaps with built-in countdown timers unless they're really REALLY sure that that date is solid.

Christmas was pretty good to me this year. I only got two games directly: Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land, but I bought Rayman Origins with an Amazon gift card.

Another year of good movie gifts. Got the Lord of the Rings and Back to the Future Blu-ray collections, along with Drag Me to Hell, Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Giorgio Moroder version of Metropolis, X-Men: First Class, and the Doctor Who Specials (The Next Doctor, etc.)

Good books, too. 11/22/63, Marvel Essentials Amazing Spider-Man #1-4 (collects issues #1 - 89), Superman and the Legion of Super Heroes, Gamer Theory, How to Do Things with Videogames, and Arguarbly (Christopher Hitchens' last book).

Some of that was stuff I bought with gift cards, which I also used to re-up my XBL gold sub for a year.

Damn, this was a good Xmas, now that I stop to think about it.

Smells like what you'd expect the living room of an apartment occupied by 3 college guys to smell like.

Don't own a car, but don't really need one, since I live in NYC.

Usually on the same couch I play my consoles from. But, they're useful when waiting in standby lines and stuck at family gatherings.
