@SisypheanLife I'd agree with you actually, but having played the MP for an hour or two last night, I was almost overwhelmed with how much the game had. The new additions don't sound like much, but it really feels more intricate than the others. There's so much to customize and unlock, all those strike and support packages, leveling up your guns to reduce kick or sway etc., and then there's the standard stuff like gun attachments and equipment.
Not to mention how fun the co-op missions are, every game that has a Survival/Horde/Wave mode, I almost always skip. I played survival for a good hour or so with my brother and we had a blast.
@That One Guy If you're a Metal Gear fan who cares about this, you already have this. If you're a Metal Gear fan who cares about this, you'll own MGS1 on the PS1 or in some form. PS3 can play PS1 game discs.
When you're playing in 3D the game has to process and render the game twice right? If that means that the game I'm playing could like 2x better instead of being in 3D: I'll take it. It's a pointless and stupid feature, in fact I never use it, the only game I have is OoT, but even so, in my 38 hours I've put into it so far I only turn it on for like 2 minutes thinking "Hmmm I never use it, wonder if I'll like it this time..." only to turn it off immediately.
Xbox for me, I already have the MGS PS2 games and got halfway through on Peace Walker on my PSP before I sold it. Besides I have a BC PS3, so it'd be kind of ridiculously pointless to get it on the PS3 when I'd really just be buying Peace Walker, or I could get it for the Xbox to play Peace Walker co-op with some friends (most of which are Xbox exclusively).
I can't wait to play these, people talk so highly about this game (which quite frankly I think is a bit unwarranted, I'm not saying there's no way they can be good but supposedly every game is terrible compared to this, which is quite a bold statement). Probably going to cancel my Gears 3 pre-order and get this.
No way... what a shame. I think DS games in general tried too hard to be scary, and it just wasn't. Especially t hose parts in 2 where his girlfriend "haunts" him. That was ridiculously annoying "HEAR ME TALK IN A RASPY LOUD VOICE TALKING ABOUT PAIN AND PAST". It just didn't work. Condemned would have been a much better choice (heck even Deadly Premonition was scarier). Dead Space is a fine action game... but it's just not that scary.
@TUROK1134 I'm not a MASSIVE fan, but the extra $20-$40 investment to upgrade to the Hardened is kinda sweetened by this deal. That being said I might have to do some hardcore money management if I want to get this, BF3 and MGS HD and Halo HD.
@The Cole Train I'm sorry man but if you're paying full price for XBL instead of hunting deals on the dashboard or online; you're doing it wrong. REALLY wrong.
