Would you prefer a pile of unpolished crap right now that cost him everything he made from Braid? In my opinion, indie developers can take their developing their games as long as they continue to make progress.
I think Bethesda did the right thing in establishing boundaries. People here say they won't confuse "Scrolls" with "Elder Scrolls" but that's because they've played the latter. Granted, the confusion won't be abundant, but Bethesda has the right to protect their property. They are merely covering their bases. I for one don't consider them the bad guy. Only the larger entity that wants to protect itself so it can continue to provide consumers with enjoyable, GOTY games.
