Although I've seen it myself: Target with five or six PS3 units sitting in a locking glass case, the clerk telling me that no one cares, and that they can't keep the dang Wii's on the shelf, it's only indicative of the lack of great titles on the machine. While the Wii merit's interest right out of the box, with Wii sports being the instant gratification that demo disks failed to be in the past, the PS3, out of the box, is capable of impressing only stoners with a predilection to shiny things. I hate Sony as much as the next guy, but let the AAA's come out, and you'll see that those PS3s get snapped up almost instantaneously. Having units on the shelf is never a bad thing, this is just round 1.

I tried so hard to get the core system yesterday morning, it was awful when it said my one click order had completed, then I looked at my receipt, and I had paid full price. I nearly died, knowing it was already too late to try again. Good luck to everyone here, who was just looking for a reasonably priced next gen gaming solution. Free would be preferable :)

With the impending $100 Xbox core sale, I'm definitely going XboxWii60 on your asses if you give this to me. Fark Sony to heck. God I miss my Lik-Sang

I friggin' told you guys (well maybe not you, it might have been the GameInformer forums) that stacking was important. Both Xbox360 (which I'm still considering for purchase) and PS3 (which I'm not) have goofy curvatures that prevent console stacking. Whether intentional or not, it is a potential annoyance, whereas last gen. I could use that gargantuan Xbox as a table for my other consoles. Wii really is your supplemental console, and as such, I believe they will do very well for themselves this generation. < \ fanboy rant>

Oh rubbish! I read that flier in the picture above and I was touched by the message. I thought, it was something like Child's Play (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/), who reach out to us as, not only gamers, but also as humans with some disposable income that could go to doing something positive for the less fortunate. I know missionaries do much good work but the history of the missionary leaves a bad taste in many mouths, especially being of Hispanic descent, and knowing that for the most part if you need help from them, you'd better be ready to disown your native culture, religion, and beliefs before you ask for anything. This is just sad, but if you've already bought the game, then you've already given them some money, and you probably already know what they're about, so you may have no problem giving them a little more.

Gays FTW! I really hope people make a big stink out of this, just so that we may be able to see their true colors. They are just hatemongers looking for a new crusade. I did laugh out loud at the homosexual and *gasp* interracial kiss line though, that was sweet!
