Wii Warm Up: Your choices for the VC
Jun 15th 2007 9:52AM (Joystiq Nintendo)Wii Warm Up: The question of a demo
May 17th 2007 10:16AM (Joystiq Nintendo)when/if nintendo releases new content that hasn't been released before (never on any previous console), i think the demo idea would be better... especially if it's games that would normally belong on older systems (such as a 2d side scroller). I'd love for "classic" feel games to be released but would be more hesitant to buy them because they don't have a back story or "memory" fulfillment when purchased, lol.
Nintendo to replace 3.2 million Wii straps [update 1]
Dec 15th 2006 9:10AM (Joystiq)whatever, i did ask for a replacement. I have no problem with the wiimote (heck, i don't even wear the strap)... but i can't guarantee someone else who comes over won't have problems with it and then break my TV, lol.
Confirmed: EB Games/GameStop with fresh inventory for Friday
Nov 22nd 2006 7:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Confirmed: EB Games/GameStop with fresh inventory for Friday
Nov 22nd 2006 7:08PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Let the DREs begin!
Nov 20th 2006 3:52PM (Joystiq Nintendo)The system actually froze on me once. I hit the virtual console button and for some reason my internet went out and the system at first kept trying to load but nothing. i'd try hitting home but it wouldn't let. then randomly it turned off. i unplugged and replugged and it works perfect now (though to nintendo's defense i will say that i had only installed one of 2 of the updates at that point. after the second all was smooth sailing)
Nintendo's new Zelda falls flat
Nov 12th 2006 12:30AM (Joystiq)once i saw paragraphs arguing about having to press "A" to view signs (which normally don't need to be read to progress at all in Zelda games) i breathed a sigh of relief.
we can already see the color palette of the game and most of us already assumed the "problem" with the sign. i just hope that the review manages to actually review things in the game that we haven't obviously already seen in all the screen shots already posted from the game :).
oh, and isn't it obvious TP is a GCN game? last 3 years it was a GCN game, lol. They delayed it last (a whole year) to make it on the Wii too. GCN game with Wii control, we all knew that, lol.
i just hope the real review points out actual criticisms in gameplay and not stuff that we (of course not all but most of us who have been waiting since E3 04 or whenever it was) already knew without having any experience with the actual game.
Rumor: Wal-Mart Wii/PS3 launch playbook revealed -- midnight launches [update 1]
Nov 4th 2006 9:56PM (Joystiq)Toys R Us Wii/PS3 pre-orders start tomorrow - last chance on game sale
Oct 28th 2006 8:31PM (Joystiq)i called my Toys-R-Us now to know what time they opened (online it says 11 but i didn't trust that so i called) and they open at 9!
I then asked if Preorder was happening and the lady said yes. i asked "how many Wii's will you have" and she said "i heard just over 30 or 30." Of course, this is nothing to trust. She then said "there are people camping out for the PS3 since last night. People in the Wii line have told me how it can play old Mario (mare-E-O) and the old Zelda game." lol, i responded, "oh really? HOW EXCITING" as if i didn't already know, haha.
but yeah, the line has started.. since yesterday?! i'm gonna stop by around 7 AM. i feel like it'll be a waste of time since i do believe stores will have it on Nov 19 easily but better to ensure having one anyways. The thing with the line is that it'll be tricky.. because not everyone in it is there for both and so the line may seem long but most people may be there for the PS3.
Oh, and i asked if they were going to have seperate lines for the Wii and PS3 (since the lady mentioned there were 2 lines) and she said that they weren't requiring it but that is how the people were aligning themselves.
