Skyrim Interactive Map App is a world of microtransactions

Feb 20th 2012 4:12PM (Joystiq)
@sammo21 Don't know about iOS, but there's a fantastic fan-made map with location filtering on android that's free. It's updated frequently as well. You can't zoom 3200%, but it's still helpful.

I wonder if no trophy support on the PS3 version of Oblivion has anything to do with it "not being approved?"

Wife was excited by this news. She's been asking me when it was coming.

Bummer, was hoping for $10 price like Flower. I'm still excited for it, but can wait for the $7.49 it will eventually be on sale for.

@eat it The discounts and deals are awesome, too. 1 year of PS+ more than pays for itself. The automatic updates, trophy syncing, and cloud saves are all really cool, too.

Yes! Day one, especially since it's during a usual gaming drought.

I disagree with your assessment that the art design in Amalur is lacking. I find the amount of variety and color refreshing. I can remember reading a Game Informer with a preview of the game, and being in awe of the blue fish/snake like creature, thinking, "Wow, I love the art direction!" I haven't actually played through the story yet, so those are probably valid points, but every franchise has to start somewhere and give a lot of lore and history. I remember, Dragon Age Origins being similar, though it did have great characters to present it all in a memorable way. There was still "lore-overload" at some points. What it all boils down to for me, is that it's a fresh ip from a new developer, and with sequel-itis so common these days, this is a game I can root for and support hands down.

@Mika101 What did you dislike about the Starhawk beta? I started out hating it, but I really enjoy it now. I'm just curious.

@MacUser1986 I must've missed the first one.

Big Huge Games strongly recommends Reckoning install on Xbox 360

Jan 27th 2012 1:48AM (Joystiq)
The demo was actually outsourced to a third party, and some of the glitches and problems were never in the game to begin with. From what I hear, both versions will ship in tip top shape. I did hear something similar to what you said about the slower frame rate on 360, though. Also, don't forget that if you plan on getting mass effect 3 for 360, you'll probably want to get this game for 360 so you can get the dlc unlocks. Unless the dlc is available across all platforms?
