Review: 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC

Mar 25th 2011 1:49AM (Autoblog)
Well actually, even if Mitsubishi DID disappear off of the car market, it probably would not have the biggest impact that we believe it would. Mitsubishi as a corporation makes a hell of a lot more things than just cars. They're a Japanese juggernaut. Hell, I have an old Mitsubishi cellphone kicking around somewhere in my closet!

Snow Leopard: what's broken (or working) for you?

Am I the only person to does not have stacks opening within stacks working? Is there an option I should be turning on?

iPhone graced with HTC's Sense UI theme, beauty ensues

People don't realize that before the App store the weather app and stocks and stuff were essentially Web-kit Widgets. Hmm... I want to see the Hero performing with many widgets overlaying apps at the same time and see if the phone can take it, because with that outdated processor, I don't think the Hero will take it.

I've always hated these themes though, because it takes so much work to skin the damn phone. Putting the invisible app boxes, etc etc is quite annoying.

Microsoft alters Laptop Hunters "Lauren" ad after Apple calls to complain

That sounds like the most 1990s Mac comment ever lol.

1. Most people find them incredibly elegant to look at, even I wold agree.

2. Every PC can do media work as well, it was just decided in the 90s that the Mac would be the media computer, despite PCs do it just as well.

3. Mac OS X is designed to be the easiest OS to use, with no learning curve. The computers holds your hand while you're using it.

It's not about breaking down, it's about the quality of the build. The new MacBooks are incredibly solid, largely to the aluminum and the unibody structure. Granted no PC will break more often than another. Some people seem to correlate breaking to software malfunctioning, which plagued a lot of the HP Pavilions that all my classmates had. $599 Best Buy deal, and a bunch of students going back to school, you do the math haha.

Why is everyone so surprised that Macs cost more? It's completely redundant to say that it has similar specs, for a lot more than the competition. The reality of it all is you are paying to use Mac OS X, and have seamless integration between your Apple products. That's why people buy Macs.

I could go price a PC for a lot less than my MacBook, but I like Mac OS X, and realize I pay a pretty premium to use it. Sony is no better, they have a Sony Tax too. I also love Apple's customer service and what they offer their customers (and for the price you pay, it better be a great experience). The only other PC manufacturer that actually treated me well and fixed everything, even the minor things was Dell. I had an old XPS M170, back when the XPS line was a premium laptop line, not plagued by this Studio XPS crap, and Dell had its own XPS hotline for customers.

BB OS old and cryptic? You don't find S60 cryptic, when it hasn't had a UI lift, since....ever? S60 REALLY needs a modern facelift.

Japanese hardware sales, 23 October - 29 October: platinum premium edition

BPM, it's because many people in Japan don't have a PS2, because they do. It's more likely due to the fact that the slimline PS2 is infamous for breaking easily. I know people who have gone through 3 PS2 slimline consoles, and they take care of them.

We wait for Wii/PS3 at Toys R Us (Boston Edition: Part 2)

Oct 29th 2006 3:50PM (Joystiq)
I remember calling one night to Zellers(I live in Ontario) and I asked about Wii preorders. They said they were taking them the next morning, such a coincidence, and that there would be 10. Me and my friend went, well actually, I forced my mom to go, I was away that weekend. lol. Anywho we were there 30 minutes before the store opened. There was my mom, my friend with his mom and 2 other people waiting there for preorders. I got number 4. They were bundles, had to pay all 455(after tax) for Wii, Excite Truck, and Rayman Raving Rabbids. I may sell back Excite Truck to somewhere, but I'm definitely keeping Rayman, cause it looks funny as hell. I feel empathetic for all those who stayed out all night in the cold. I'm surprised these crazed game fanatics don't burst into fight to reorder the line and get in first place. So people fight on the internet, yet these so called "fanboys" are civil in reality? lol interesting. Anyways, I'm glad I have my Wii preorder. I love my pre bundle, but if I couldn't pre bundle, I'd much rather put 50 dollars down, and that go towards the system rather than taking a chance at trying to get one on launch without a preorder.

Sony vs Nintendo in the motion sensitive arena

Oct 29th 2006 3:34PM (Joystiq)
@ #65, why the hell would you need a 5th DVD player in your house. Your PC plays em, your XBox or PS2 plays thenm, why the hell does Nintendo need to boost console price to add in a feature EVERYONE ALREADY HAS IN 5 OTHER DEVICES?! Also I could barely see a person swinging around an ugly big SIXAXIS controller, compared to a sleek Wii controller.

@ #64, Are you kidding me? So you think Zelda is a kiddy game? Might I add the average gamer, according to statistics, is 33 years old? Bet you never saw that coming. Launch games include Zelda, which is a brand new series, Rayman(NOTHING like the other Rayman games), CoD 3, Red Steel, and many other games.

For anyone who thinks Nintendo has all 1st party and kiddie games, you are simple retarded. Nintendo has been in talks with Take Two, the owners of Rockstar Games, and they have a much, much more expansive library this time around. Developers really see it as a profitable and smart move to develop games for the Wii, due to the vast hype. Nintendo doesn't even need to advertise to gamers. Just post new footage of Zelda and you'll have nerds have orgasms all over the world. lol

Many claim Sony cares more about its gamers and consumers than Nintendo, and I find that utter bullsh*t. Is Sony not the one who gives out explosive batteries, rootkits on your CDs, DRM, and to make it worse, they force Lik-Sang to close down its doors for the stupidest of reasons. Thousands of gamers relied on buying games, not only for PS2, but for other systems, and Sony stopped that.

To the person who said Nintendo has no fallback if the Wii fails........BZZZ, wrong. As far as it has been media wise, everyone is praising the Wii with great enthusiasm. I hardly doubt this little machine will flop. If it happens to do so down the road, there's also the portable market, which Nintendo continues to dominate. You know, the DS Lite? If you didn't know it's that "little portable that could" that's beating the pants off the PSP.
