I can vouch for the easyness. It does come off as much simpler, in my opinion. I love the actual difficulty in the original Picross DS due to the way it showed the groupings. In Picross 3D, it's a completely different method of telling you how the blocks are are combined, and thus is a bit hard to compare directly with other iterations. When I first played the 3D version, I thought it was a very fun twist on the classsic, but overall not as challenging or awesome as traditional Picross.

btw, I've completely beaten both games, and Colour Cross. I'm a picross fanboy.

Actually, those that pre-ordered it could install it through steam through a direct steam command for installation. A lot of people from the forums have already played and beat it.

In retrospect, I could have told Joystiq the scoop, but I hadn't thought of it.

Count me as one of them. Though I'll probably mostly use my PC for Netflix streaming, being able to use my PS3 is a bonus which is getting me to sign-up.

Also, it's the PS3 that's making me pay $2 more a month for those beautiful Blu-rays.
