There's a degree of reasonable entitlement. Being able to join servers falls into that. Now, if the F2Pers, (Of which I am included because I didn't have a computer that could run any games until a few days ago.) start complaining because they were kicked off the server to give a player that pays their slot, then they are overstepping their boundaries. But getting kicked off because someone created a mod to auto-kick them regardless of how many players are on the server is reasonable to complain about.
Really, that's all this LulzSec fiasco is. Teaching people to change their passwords up a bit. Actually put some effort into protecting what's yours if it means so much to you.
I will say that the consequences are a bit steep, but if nothing else, it should teach them a lesson. Unfortunately, that lesson seems to have been "I'm entitled to keep my stuff safe behind just my cat's name, and everyone who abuses that is in the wrong, while I myself am blameless."
Nice to see Joystiq reacting appropriately, though.
