Pick up a 3DS for $150 at GameStop, now through Feb. 12

@(Unverified) The MSRP of the 3DS in the US is $169.99. Therefore, $149.99 is a $20 discount off of MSRP. Exchange rates aside, what is your issue with that?

Sorry, I forgot about the GameBoy Pocket. Make that "beginning with the GameBoy...."

@Nergy, I dunno---I may be more likely to agree if the CPP were available at all retailers. It being a store exclusive says to me that Nintendo is planning on it being a stop-gap measure prior to that inevitable redesign.

And it IS inevitable, regardless of what the timeframe will be---beginning with the GBA (and arguably, the GBC), Nintendo has conditioned us to expect incremental hardware revisions for their portable consoles.

There is no question in my mind that a revision is coming (my money's on later this year). Seems like a no-brainer for them to include the second stick in there, but you never know with Nintendo...could just be better battery life and minor screen improvements.

By the way, for anyone else with little kids looking for a way to engage them while you play, I've found that the second player option for Super Mario Galaxy 2 is great---they can do (admittedly limited) stuff, yet not screw you up. This is assuming they're old enough to understand the pointing mechanics, of course.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this---I actually want to see the game (I have a 2 and a half year old who has become quite proficient with Dora on the DS), but if you're only going to make a one-button game, why do you make that button the 1 button? The huge A in the thumb-place of the remote (even for a two year old) isn't the obvious choice?

Maybe they're thinking little kids will hold it with two hands and hit the 1 with their thumb on the bottom hand, I dunno. Is odd that the -, + and home are uncovered, though. When you only have four buttons to access, it seems those just scream "press me!"

Still, I must admit that I'm curious to see the game.
