Jan 7th 2012 9:48AM (Joystiq)Well, i would much rather spend 30 bucks on 5 or 7 games on steam as opposed to a 30 dollar DLC season pass which then that also makes me a smart buyer too.

Nov 25th 2011 8:52AM (Joystiq)They can't be this ignorant to ignore that there is an audience out there looking to purchase their products. In fact, many developers see a sale on the PC as the purest form of income thye can find. All money made on PC games generally all goes towards publishers/developers. With steam, it cuts out the middle man so all of the money on there goes straight to the developer (i believe that's how it worked, last time i checked)
It's beyond comprehension why they would disregard an audience looking to play their games. They can go ahead and assume that every PC Gamer is going to pirate their game, that's fine with me. It just makes me feel better that when i purchase a game on steam from any other developer i'm not going to get completely screwed. Unless it's an EA/Origin dispute............then i'm always F'd
Phoenix Wright movie on the docket for February release
Oct 27th 2011 4:22PM (Joystiq)I hear ya man. For me though, Audition was the first film i saw from him, so for me it's more like a first impression kind of thing. Still, should be interesting to see the final product.
Epic wants Unreal Engine 4 ready for the next-gen console launch
Oct 27th 2011 3:35PM (Joystiq)If MS and Sony are serious about going next gen, then i really do believe that their online components are going to be the way of their next gen plans. I can see bigger hard drives, better networking, and overall better OS' in the future. Hardware wise, the only real fault are the graphic cards on the consoles, especially given that both run at 3.2GHZ (360 3 cores) (PS3 8 cores)
I don't see the next generation of consoles doing much different as far as graphics are concerned. More than likely, DX10 support. DX11 possibly. Even if they were to instill some of the lower end cards like a GTX 560 or a AMD 6550 or 6870, then it's just a matter of price.
It'll be interesting to see what these console makers decide to do with their next iterations. I for one am excited to see what's on the horizon, i just hope people are ready for the possibility of a $600 console being the normal price point.
