I've been losing a bit of faith in Joystiq as of late, but I held strong. With this I am pretty disappointed, I'm not sure how often I'll frequent this site anymore. I only came here today to see how united game sites were, and clearly you could care less. And don't give me that B.S. about being journalists, many other sites found a way to stay open and show opposition against SOPA at the same time. I guess I'll start checking out Destructoid.

You seem to be painting with a very large brush with those generalizations. I agree that some games do go too far, but to say that it is a problem of Japanese media (manga, anime, and games) is just wrong.

Also, remember that different cultures have their own perspectives on these concepts. It's not that they're using the concepts improperly, it's that you personally don't like how they use them.

Then buy it or rent it and do it! The first time I played it I was somewhat impressed, but after beating the game again doing almost nothing the same way I did it the first time, my mind was blown. You owe it to yourself as a gamer.

Dude, I'm gonna try and help you out here. Think about the term you're using, "Cock gobbler", and ask yourself why you use it as an insult. You clearly think poorly of anyone who likes to do said activity, therefore you think it's going to be insulting to call someone that. That is why it's homophobic.

It's like using a racial slur, and then saying that the slur can apply to anyone, so you're not actually racist.

That's not how it works. In OoT, you sleep for seven years and awaken as adult Link, in the devastated Hyrule. You are forced to go back in time at least twice, and this is where the third timeline comes out of.

It's not that Link gets killed, but when he goes back in time, he permanently leaves that particular future. The future he returns to after removing the Lens of Truth is not the same one, therefore, the original future (the one he leaves) is the one where Ganon takes over.
